John Arnold

September 29, 1935 — November 4, 2020

John C. Arnold 85 of Carmi passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Carmi Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing. He was born September 29, 1935 in Crescent, OK, the son of Clifford and Reba (Edwards) Arnold. He married Patsy Bridges on April 6, 1955 and she survives.

John retired from Whirlpool, however he loved his work in the oilfield for years before. He was a member of the Cherry Street General Baptist Church. John also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going for boat and car rides .

John is survived by his wife, Patsy; his sons, Mike (Sherri) Arnold and Randy (Sandra) Arnold; his daughter, Teresa (Jeff) Rhein; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in North Maple Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., prior to services on Saturday. Masks will be required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
