Kathryn Coston

Kathryn Jean Coston, 95, of Carmi passed away at 10:50 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.  She was born near New Haven, IL on September 6, 1926 the daughter of Fred and Effie (Aud) Browning.  Kathryn married Melvin Wayne Coston in Morganfield, KY on December 14, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 4, 2010.  She was a homemaker.

Kathryn is survived by her four children, Steve (Rita) Coston, Cathy Seiler and Beth Fechtig all of Carmi and Jo (Danny) Satterfield of Mt. Vernon, IN; two sisters, Julia Pettijohn and Maxine Hancock; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Coston, sister, Vernell Bates, brother, Mark Wayne Browning. sister-in-law, Louise Browning and three brothers-in law, Dallas Bates, Gene Pettijohn and Robert Hancock

Graveside funeral services and burial will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Union Ridge Cemetery. Stendeback Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
