Ruth Nation

Ruth A. Nation 71 of Mount Vernon, IN passed away Saturday August 4, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. She was born February 7, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, IN, the daughter of John T. and Martha Mae (Kaffenberger) Kuhn.

Ruth worked for Labcorp and retired in 2013. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Timothy (Chrystal) Nation; two grandchildren, Carter and Nathan Nation; daughter, Tammy Coleman; sisters, Glenda (Bill) Higgins, Mary Jane Davis, Kathy (Mike) Fortner, Bobbi (Kevin) Whipple, and Theresa Tison; brother, Thomas (Dawn) Kuhn, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be  held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in St. Matthews Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center in care of the funeral home.
