Wilma Williams

Wilma Ruth (Gumbel) Williams, 73, of Mt. Vernon passed away on January 16, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital. Wilma was born in Mt. Vernon on May 12, 1957 the daughter of Arthur and Mary Ann (Pennington) Gumbel

Wilma had worked for Industrial Contractor’s in their office at Sabic before retirement. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. When she was not working on one of her many craft projects, she was spending time with her family.

Wilma is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Mike) Johnson, Teresa (Ray) Lugo; grandchildren, Kelsey (Joey) Torres., Kyle (Kristie) Graham, Andrew, Jacob, and Katie Johnson; great-grandchildren, Desmond and Zelda; brother, George (Judy) Gumbel. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Albert Gumbel.

A private service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the American Kidney Association. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
